    Question

    How to display bibliographic note fields in OPAC?

    Answer

    1. Edit /m1/voyager/xxxdb/tomcat/vwebv/context/vwebv/ui/[skin]/xsl/contentLayout/configs/displaycfg.xml
    2. Uncomment entire displayTags stanza for "Notes"
    3. Comment out lines for fields that should not be displayed, leaving line for desired field active

    Additional Information

    Example: displaycfg.xml section after changes to allow display of 520 field:

    <displayTags label="Notes:">
    <!--
    <displayTag field="500" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="a"/>
    <displayTag field="501" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="a"/>
    <displayTag field="502" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="a"/>
    <displayTag field="504" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="ab"/>
    <displayTag field="506" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="abcde"/>
    -->

    <!-- Uncommented note field below to allow 520 to display -->
    <displayTag field="520" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="ab"/>

    <!--
    <displayTag field="525" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="a"/>
    <displayTag field="530" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="a"/>
    <displayTag field="533" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="ae"/>
    <displayTag field="538" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="a"/>
    <displayTag field="540" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="abcd"/>
    <displayTag field="545" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="ab"/>
    <displayTag field="546" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="ab"/>
    <displayTag field="555" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="ab"/>
    <displayTag field="697" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="a"/>
    <displayTag field="698" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="a"/>
    <displayTag field="699" indicator1="X" indicator2="X" subfield="a"/>
    -->
    </displayTags>
