    Question

How is EOD different from EDI?

    Answer

Embedded Order Data (EOD) imports records and creates POs in a single, automated step. The "Order" information in SysAdmin > Cataloging > Bulk Import Rules is where you set this workflow up.

Unlike Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), you don't need to wait for Ex Libris to approve a vendor before you can use EOD.

EDI is used from the Acquisitions client.
