    Question

Is there any way in the Global Data Change module to use the list of MFHDs generated by a call number search to get a list of the associated bib records?

    Answer

No, not directly from within GDC.  GDC acts on isolated sets of records, Either bibs or mfhds, but not both.

One option is that you could use GDC to create a set of MFHD records, using the Call Number Search ability that GDC has, and then use the results of that in Access or SQL to obtain the BIB IDs, and import the BIB IDs into a new record set in GDC.

    Additional Information

For more information about the GDC Call Number Search see Chapter 2 of the Global Data Change User's Guide.
