    Question

    The Cataloging User's Guide says:

"Users can select a Locations filter to further limit a search when doing call number searches. Locations are defined locally in the System Administration module."

But the System Administration User's Guide doesn't reference the Locations Filter, and no choices are displayed in the Locations Filter box, no matter what type of index is selected. How are the locations defined and displayed?

    Answer

Locations filter is available for MFHD Call Number (CALL) searches that are done as Find. Location and other limits are not available for Browse searches.

The Locations filter box is populated from the locations defined in System Administration > System > Locations.
