    Question

I edited the displayHoldings.xml file. Why am I seeing issues from the MFHD record in the Older Issues section now?

    Answer

You can choose to use a number of display codes in your displayHoldings.xml file. 1020 display code will use issue data from the Serial Check-In record in Acquisitions. 1040 display code will use issue data from the 853/863 pairs in the MFHD record.

Typically, the Serial Check-In record has the most recent issues set to Display In OPAC, and the mfhd record contains the collapsed sets of issues in its 853/863 pairs. The exl_default skin uses those assumptions and sets the 1020 code to be used with "Recent Issues" and the 1040 code to be used with "Older Issues" by default.
