    Question

Overview of library addresses in Voyager.

    Answer

Voyager uses the location addresses stored in System Administration to populate the circulation notices generated for patrons, acquisitions purchase orders, and route slips for items.

Where an address is used and which fields of an address display depends on the application:

    • The Library Default Address is set in: SysAdmin> System> Default Address
    • The Circulation Happening Address is set in: SysAdmin> System> Locations> CIRCULATION HAPPENING LOCATION> click Edit> click Address Button
    • The Acquisistions/Tech Services Happening Address is set in: SysAdmin> System> Locations> TECHSERV/ACQUISITIONS HAPPENING LOCATION> click Edit> click Address

    Examples:

Emailed patron notices address from: Default Library Address and Circ Happening Location Address (Address lines 4 and 5 and the country are not included)

Print patron notices address from: Default Library Address and Circ Happening Location Address (Address lines 4 and 5 are not included)

Acquisitions purchase order with Acquisitions Location selected as "Ship to" and "Bill to" locations from: Acquisitions Happening Location (Address line 5 is not included)

Acquisitions purchase order with only "Site" selected from: Default Library Address (Address line 5 is not included)

Route slips generated by Call Slip from: Default Library Address and Circ Happening Location

Route slips generated by the Circulation Client from: Default Library Address and Circ Happening Location
