    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.1.0

    Description:
    Issue 16384-20178
Module(s): Global Data Change (Pjobd, Pgdcsvr); WebAdmin (Pwebadmind)
    Release(s) replicated in: 8.0.0 - 8.1.2
Last version without bug (if applicable): n/a

Expected results: The scripts located in the /m1/voyager/xxxdb/sbin that search for PID numbers prior to starting up would only check for the process id and not the full listing of the process.

Actual results: The scripts located in /m1/voyager/xxxdb/sbin that search for PID numbers prior to starting up are checking the full listing of the process.

Workflow implications: When checking the full listing, the service that is being called may abort because false positives are occurring when the ps command searches entire full listing line prior to executing the grep command.

    Workaround: None.

    Resolution:
Fixed in Pgdcsvr and Pjobd for 8.2.0.
