    Problem Symptoms

    • Running Patron Purge (XML) job (PpatronPrg -p2011-12-31)
    • Job fails to run and logs error:

    2013-01-21 16:50:02,975 2082 [main] ERROR com.exlibris.voyager.patron.purge.PurgeTask - Error fetching patrons:
    com.exlibris.voyager.util.CannotStartJNDIException: javax.persistence.PersistenceException: [PersistenceUnit: voyager] Unable to build EntityManagerFactory

    Cause

    persistence.xml still present. (Definitions in this file incorporated elsewhere for 8.2.0 and higher)

    Resolution

    cd META-INF

    mv persistence.xml persistence.xml.deprecated
