    Question

If you cancel one line item on an approved, multiple line purchase order, the status of that line item that you canceled changes from Approved to Canceled. However, the status of the Purchase Order changes from 'Approved' to 'Received Partial'.

Why does the status of the Purchase Order change to Received Partial when I never received anything?

    Answer

A business decision was made regarding how to count 'canceled' lines when we were evaluating a PO status as 'received partial' or 'received complete'.

If Voyager treated canceled items as unreceived, then a PO with a cancelled item would never be able to become 'received complete'. So Voyager counts cancelled items as equivalent to received items.
