    Question

We are loading a very large number of records, and keyword regens help performance, but are not quite good enough. I noticed that after we rebooted the server, performance improved significantly.

Is there an alternative to rebooting the server?

    Answer

If you had a higher uptime prior to reboot, that may account for the significant performance increase after reboot. For efficient performance, Voyager Support typically recommends:
    1. weekly server reboots
    2. nightly backup & restart of Voyager

If you're engaged in a project that involves greater system resource usage (such as loading a very large number of records), you may need to reboot more frequently, but the above are basic recommendations for system maintenance.
