    Shutdown errors in extract log?

    • Article Type: Q&A
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.0.0

    Question

While reviewing Primo extract log file in /m1/voyager/xxxdb/primo/Publishing/logs, noticed a lot of these errors:

[main] INFO com.endinfosys.voyager.extract.Extract - Shutdown() Couldn't process record with Bib id=<bib_id>

    What do they mean?

    Answer

This is an informational message that is logged when the extract encounters a suppressed record in the set of records it is trying to extract. The extract first gathers all of the records that have been changed since the date in the ChangedSince.txt file. Then, if it encounters a record in that set that is suppressed, it logs the message above, does not extract the record, and moves on.

    Additional Information

In Voyager 8.2.2 and higher, the "Shutdown" message has been replaced with

    "Didn't extract required Bib id=<bib_id>"

to log bib records that are not extracted because of their suppression status.
