    Some anti-virus software products may cause Voyager Prepackaged Access Reports to crash when running queries

    Question

    Reports are being received in the fall of 2020 that the some anti-virus programs such as "Malware Bytes" may cause Voyager Prepackaged Access Reports to crash when running queries. 

    Answer

    Reports from customers in the fall of 2020 mention problems with anti-virus software possibly conflicting with running queries in Prepackaged Access Reports.

    "Malware Bytes" is sometimes installed for free on PCs and is possibly one of the products causing issues.  You can use the Windows Task Manager to see if it is running on your PC.

    Reports state that this anti-virus program runs in the background, and causes Prepackaged Access Reports to crash when attempting to run queries.

    Customers report if they stop "Malware Bytes" from running, their Access queries would run successfully.
