    Steps for relinking MFHDs in Voyager cataloging

    Question

    How do I relink a MFHD from one Bibliographic record to another?

    Answer

    1. Know the Bib record ID number of the bib you wish to relink the MFHD to.
    2. With the MFHD open, choose Record > Relink holding to bibliographic.
    3. Select the bib record from which to unlink the MFHD.
    4. Type in the bib record ID number of the bib to link the MFHD to.
    5. Click OK.

    Additional Information

    • A Holdings Record (MFHD) must always be linked to at least one Bibliographic Record.
    • An Item must always be linked to at least one Holdings Record (MFHD).
