Update /etc/acct/holidays with New Holidays

Problem Symptoms

Messages on the console:

 


adm: ************ ACCT ERRORS : see /var/adm/acct/nite/log********
adm:
last message repeated 1 time

 

 

The log file has the following:

 

***UPDATE /etc/acct/holidays WITH NEW HOLIDAYS***

Cause

Incorrect year in /etc/acct/holidays

Resolution

  1. Log into the server as the root user.
  2. vi /etc/acct/holidays
  3. Change the year to the current year, then write & quit (wq).

# cat /etc/acct/holidays
