    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 6.5.3

    Description:
    Bug Report Form Issue 16384-289

    Module: WebVoyage/OPAC
    Release(s) replicated in: Voyager 6.5.3, 6.5.4, 7.0.1
    Server Platform(s) affected: Solaris
Loss of functionality from (previous version): Customer’s production database is on Voyager 6.1 and they do not have the problem there.

    Expected Results:
If a patron has the maximum number of items charged out to them, they should be able to renew any of these items via WebVoyage.

    Actual Results:
If a patron has the maximum number of items charged out to them, they are unable to renew any of these items via their Patron Information page in
WebVoyage; the "Renew" column does not appear next to the items in the list of items they have on loan.

    Workflow Implications:
Patrons cannot renew items online therefore making more work for the circulation staff (as you can renew the items in the Circulation module).

    Other information:
Happens only on databases that are UB enabled. Happens whether the items charged are UB items or not. See document that contains
screenshots under Attachments tab in Pivotal Issue.

    Replication steps:
In a database that is UB enabled
In Sysadmin, under the appropriate Circ Policy Def >Patrons tab, set the “Max[imum] Items Borrowed in this Policy Group” to 2
(this number is arbitrary, it could be any number).

In Circulation, log into the desk associated to the Circ Policy Def in the above-said step. Charge 2 items to a patron that is associated
    to the patron group.

Go to WebVoyage’s Patron Information. Login with the patron’s information. You will see the 2 items that have been charged.
The Renew column and checkbox is not there but the Renew Items and Reset buttons are there.
If one of the items is discharged, the Renew column/checkbox then appears.

    Resolution:
Fixed in Voyager 7.0.2 and beyond.[9/15/2008 8:30:01 AM Meredith Atkinson]
