    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 7.2.3

    Symptoms

If item locations are all different from mfhd location, not all item locations display in WebVoyage

    Defect Status

VYG-4649 is resolved in Voyager 9.0.0 and higher.

    Replication steps

    1. In Cataloging find or create holdings & item records so that Mfhd 852 |b and Item Permanent Locations as follows:
    MFHD = Location A
    Item 1 = Location B
    Item 2 = Location C
    Item 3 = Location C
    2. Find and view the holdings for this record in WebVoyage. Note ?Location:? display:
    Location: Location A
    v.1 Shelved at Location B
Note that there is no mention of Location C or items at that location.
    3. Now update Item 3 so all items have different locations:
    Item 3 = Location D.
    4. View holdings for record in WebVoyage again. Note ?Location:? display:
    Location: Location A.
    v.2 Shelved at Location C
    v. 3 Shelved at Location D
Note that now there is no mention of Location B or item at that location.
    5. Update Item 3 again so that it now matches mfhd location:
    Item 3 = Location A.
(there are no longer items at Location D)
    6. View in WebVoyage again:
    Location: Location A
    v.1 Location B
    v.2 Location C
All locations with items are noted in holdings display now.

    Workaround

Ensure at least one item has permanent location matching mfhd location. For example:
    Mfhd = Location A
    Item 1 = Location B
    Item 2 = Location C
    Item 3 = Location A, with Temporary Location = Location C
This results in following WebVoyage display:
    Location: Location A
    v.1 Shelved at Location B
    v.2 Shelved at Location C
    v.3 Temporarily shelved Location C
