What character set is used by Voyager Self Check when communicating using SIP2? Is Voyager Self Check Compatible with UTF-8?

    Answer

Voyager Self Check communicates with automated circulation systems (ACS) using  ASCII, as is defined in the SIP2 standard. Voyager does not possess any functionality to support the use of alternative character sets such as UTF-8 within messages betwen Voyager Self-Check and the ACS.
