How do I remove the "Quick Limits" dropdown from the WebVoyage Basic Search page?

Answer

To remove the quick limits option from the Basic Search page,edit the searchPages.css file, which is available at:
/m1/voyager/xxxdb/tomcat/vwebv/context/vwebv/ui/[skin]/css/searchPages.css

Locate the #quickLimits selector in the file and add the line "display: none ;" so it looks as follows:

#quickLimits {

display: none ;

padding:12px 0px 10px 10px;
}

Additional Information

These instructions, which simply tell the Quick Limits not to display via CSS, can also be used to prevent the "Records per Page" dropdown from displaying. In the same file, locate the #searchRecs selector and change it to look like this:

#searchRecs {
display: none ;
float:left;
margin:0px 0px 0px 10px;
}

Because the modified code is telling it not to render, the "display: none" pretty much overwrites all the other values, so you don't really need to worry about other styling for those elements. Also, because it's simply a display approach, this won't alter the structure or functionality of the HTML form that submits searches.
