    Question

What is represented by the library location code in the Patron SIF file?

    Answer

Item 22 of the SIF base segment is the circ happening location recorded in the History tab of the patron record.

If manually adding a patron, the circ desk the operator is logged into at the time is recorded as the location in the History tab. This item in the SIF serves the same purpose of logging into a happening location for the add in the client.
