    Question

What is the difference between a Major, Minor or Service pack release in Voyager?

    Answer

    • A Major release introduces new functionality, including features that may be significant enough to include structural database changes; they may also include bug fixes
    • A Minor release includes some enhancements, but usually does not require any database changes; they may also include bug fixes
    • A Service pack release typically only includes bug fixes

    Additional Information

A release number is built by combining the following:  Major.Minor.Service Pack

So, for example, 10.0.0 is a Major release; 10.2.0 is a Minor release; 10.2.1 would be a Service pack release

For more details, see the Voyager Releases document.
