    Question

Why does the item_sequence sometimes include a zero, and not other times?

    Answer

If the 'Sequence new items at top' option is checked in Cataloging>Options>Preferences>Workflows, any new issues added will be added with the item_sequence_number value of zero.  If this option is not checked, added issues will never have a value of zero (one will be the lowest value).

    Additional Information

To remove any zero values from item_sequence_number, take any action to re-sequence the items; the new order will begin with one as the lowest value.
