    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 7.2.0

    Description:
    Date: January 5, 2010
    Module(s): WebVoyage
Server platform(s) affected: Tested on Solaris
    PC OS (if applicable): N/A
Browser & version (if applicable): N/A

    Release(s) replicated in: 7.2.0

    Expected results:
The Hyperlink variable of the OPAC_SEARCH_LOG table would indicate whether or not a particular search was the result of clicking a hyperlink (i.e. a redirect search)

    Actual results:
The Hyperlink variable of the OPAC_SEARCH_LOG table is always NULL

Workflow implications: Customers reviewing the OPAC search log will never be able to tell if a search was a redirect search.

    Replication steps:
    1. Ensure that OPAC Search Logging is enabled in /m1/voyager/xxxdb/ini/voyager.ini, LOGSEARCH=Y
    2. In the OPAC, search for history
    3. Pull up any record that has something in the Subject fields
    4. After viewing the record in step 3, click on any of the subjects or the author to establish a redirect search (you may need to enable these in displaycfg.xml)
    5. Log onto the server, and run the following query in SQL: select search_date, search_string, hyperlink from opac_search_log;
    6. The results of this query will show that these searches do not have the proper value logged for Hyperlink.
