voy/primo extract:mfhd indicator 2 becomes 4 in extracted xml
- Article Type: General
- Product: Voyager
- Product Version: 8.1.0
Description:
Bug Report Form for Issue 16384-14050
Module(s): Voyager/Primo extract
Server platform(s) affected: Solaris/all
PC OS (if applicable): n/a
Browser & version (if applicable): n/a
Release(s) replicated in: 7.2.4
Expected results: MFHD indicators should extract as cataloged in Voyager.
If you catalog a MFHD with an 856 field that has a first indicator of 4 and a second indicator of 2, that second indicator shows as a 4 in the extracted record.
856s in the MFHD with a first indicator of 4 and second indicator of 0 or 1 are extracted properly.
Workflow implications: If the extracted record has a MFHD 856 with both indicators as 4, Primo can’t correctly process the URL.
Replication steps:
Catalog a record that has a MFHD with an 856 that has a first indicator of 4 and second indicator of 2.
Run the Voyager/Primo extract to extract this record (can use changed since date, file w/bib_id, bib range, doesn’t matter).
View the xml for this record, and you’ll see something like this:
<datafield ind2="4" ind1="4" tag="856">
<subfield code="u">http://www.yoururl.com /about_journal.html</subfield>
<subfield code="z">Click here for access to indexes</subfield>
