User Authentication: Administration Console -- Authentication Settings -- Add Referring URL

    • Product: 360 Core Client Center

How do we add referring URLs using the Access Control Administration Console?

This page is part of a larger set of documentation about using the Administration Console to configure your User Authentication service.

You can add Referring URLs that will be used to identify users from your institution as authenticated users of Serials Solutions services on the Referring URL page in the User Authentication Settings page.
Your IT department will most likely be able to provide you with your institution's Referring URLs based on what web page a previously authenticated user is coming from.

NOTE: Enter the Referring URL as needed. In cases where you need to provide referring URL authentication from more than one library web page please enter each URL using the Add New Referring URL button.

You can also use truncation in this field. To use truncation, enter the beginning of the URL and replace the ending with an *. This field supports both http:// and https://. For example:

    http://www.example.com/*
    https://www.example.com/portal/login.html
    1. From the Referring URL page, click Edit in the upper-right corner and then click Add New Referring URL. You'll see the following page:

    2. Type the referring URL into the appropriate box.

    3. If you are adding a single Referring URL, click Save to save your changes. If you will be adding more Referring URLs, click Save & Add Another. Click Cancel if you decide not to add a Referring URL.

    4. Unless you clicked Save & Add Another, you will return to the Referring URL page.
See also instructions to edit or delete a referring URL.
