Step 1 - Evaluation: Testing PubMed with 360 Link
PubMed has supplied six specific PMIDs that they want you to test. (These will most likely not provide any links to full text because these are not journals that ProQuest tracks. Do not be alarmed by this.) They are as follows -- be sure to add your base URL, which can be found in Library Settings in the Client Center:
-
<Your Base URL>/OpenURL_local?sid=Entrez:PubMed&id=pmid:15880265
-
<Your Base URL>/OpenURL_local?sid=Entrez:PubMed&id=pmid:14316043
-
<Your Base URL>/OpenURL_local?sid=Entrez:PubMed&id=pmid:15390390
-
<Your Base URL>/OpenURL_local?sid=Entrez:PubMed&id=pmid:12337850
-
<Your Base URL>/OpenURL_local?sid=Entrez:PubMed&id=pmid:12076440
-
<Your Base URL>/OpenURL_local?sid=Entrez:PubMed&id=pmid:12259237
Remember to add your base URL to each string so that it looks something like the following:
Please be sure to test each of these URLs to ensure that they're working; you should get to a 360 Link Results screen. If you are not able to get any of the six URLs to work, please notify us with the Support Portal option.
If you are successful with all of your links, please proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 - Registration: Send proof to PubMed to show that 360 Link supports PubMed
-
Proof of providing qualified resources from all PubMed records. List the PMIDs tested, the complete URL constructed for testing, and describe the resource your service provides for each one (see Evaluating Your OpenURL-based Service).
