    Description:
In the header for tab_merge_overlay, the description for col.2 states:
! When performing COPY/PASTE RECORD in the Cataloguing
    ! GUI interface,
! 1: refers to the record into which record is copied
    ! 2: refers to the record from which record is copied;

Does copy/paste in the Gui Catalog consult tab_merge & tab_merge_overlay?

    Resolution:
The tab_fix header says this: "MERGE is run automatically when the Paste record function is used in the Catalog GUI."

Thus, (looking at the usm01 $data_tab) it looks like this:

    tab_fix:

    MERGE fix_doc_merge OVERLAY-03

    which points to tab_merge:

    OVERLAY-03 merge_doc_overlay 03

    which points to tab_merge_overlay:

    03 1 N #####
    03 1 Y 001##
    03 1 Y OWN##
    03 1 Y 9####
    03 2 Y #####
    03 2 N 001
    03 2 N 9####
