Question
In regard to a site on ALEPH SP 20.2.8 (3798): Can SP 9 be skipped if applying SP 10? Or does SP 9 need to be installed and then SP10?
Answer
The Service Pack available on the Doc Portal is always the current Service Pack only. As part of applying the current Service Pack the Release Notes for each skipped SP need to be consulted and relevant changes applied. This is true for *all* service packs.
Additional Information
* The Release Notes can be found at: > Ex Libris Documentation Center > Aleph > Download Center > Service Packs > Version 20.x > Previous SP Release Notes .
* In this case, all of the changes from SP 9 are included in SP 10, but some of those changes may necessitate changes to the local $alephe_tab, $alephe_root, and xxxnn files, so the SP 9 Release Notes should be examined to determine if they apply.
