    Description

The message "Pickup sublibrary does not exist" appears in the Web OPAC when the z37 pickup sublibrary *does* exist.

    Resolution

"Pickup sublibrary does not exist" is the default text for ./error_eng/www_f_heading/message 9102.  The 9102 is issued by the www_f_item_hold_request_c program, when it calls the check_z37 routine and it returns a code of "202".  The "202" is issued when:

     * the Z37-PICKUP-LOCATION is blank or
     * the Z37-PICKUP-LOCATION is not in the "BUF-LOCATION" list produced by the create_hold_pickup_list program which checks if the location is in the tab37 line for this item's sublibrary.  Note that tab37, column 5, comes into play.  If col. 5 has "Y", then only the locations with available items will appear in the pickup list.

But it seems there are other reasons that locations may be incorrectly omitted from the "BUF-LOCATION" list.  The main one is, as described in the articles " Wrong Error Message When Expired Date " and " For Hold Request on Loaned Item, Pickup Not Filled in Web ", is when extraneous HL-GRP lines are included in the xxx50 tab_hold_request.  The second article notes:  "commenting out these HL-GRP checks (and using just the POST checks) worked".

It seems that when the preceding tab_hold_request HL-GRP situation occurs, the "Pickup sublibrary does not exist" can replace a variety of different messages .
