    Question

Is it possible to restrict access to an ADAM object by incoming IP address?

    Answer

Yes, that's possible. Please see „Aleph Staff User Guide – Cataloging“, page 141 for a secription of how to restrict object access by IP address:
    IP Address:

The IP Address is optional. It is used to limit object access based on the patron?s IP Address. The addresses can be truncated by using the asterisk (*).
You can enter more than one IP address, separated by a blank space (up to 200 characters in total).
You may use a hyphen (-) to set a range of permitted addresses. For example: 191.206.064.12-191.206.127.32. The range may include an asterisk (*) as a wildcard which can be set in at the end of the range (for example 191.206.064.*-191.206.127.*) or in the middle (for example 191.206.*.78-191.206.*.95).
