ALEPH z305 record needed in single-ADM set-up?

Description:
In v18 and v19, the ALEPH record is needed only if you are part of a multi-ADM environment, correct? Since we are not, I set column 22 in tab31 to ‘N’, thinking we don’t need the ALEPH record created.
KB 8192-4649 says:
If TAB100 USER-SHARING is N (or not specified), the system places the active library (that is, the library in which p_file_20 is running) into the Z303_USER_LIBRARY.
If TAB100 USER-SHARING is Y, the system places blanks in the Z303_USER_LIBRARY. [This is why our z303_user_library is blank.]
KB 5830 says: " When USER-SHARING = "Y" the: Z303-USER-LIBRARY, Z308-USER-LIBRARY, and Z353-USER-LIBRARY should be blank; and Z305-SUB-LIBRARY = ALEPH. "
Our z303, z308 and z353 user-library fields are all blank, but our z305-sub-library has "ABC50".
It sounds like, if you don’t have any z305 ALEPH records, tab100 USER-SHARING should be set to ‘N’. However, we currently have it set to ‘Y’. (It was this way in v17.) So, assuming that we don't need the ALEPH record anymore, and since we are not part of a multi-ADM environment, our USER-SHARING should be changed to 'N', correct?
Resolution:
The USER-SHARING parameter is relevant only in multi-ADM set-ups: if you have just a single ADM library -- which is also the $usr_library --, the USER-SHARING value doesn't matter.
If you were to change "USER-SHARING=Y" to "USER-SHARING=N", certain special steps would be required. You would need to:
1. use SQL to insert "ABC50" into the z303_user_library and Z308-USER-LIBRARY (bytes 23-27 of the z308_rec_key); and
2. run p_cir_25 to regenerate the z353.
We recommend *not* making this change.
In this situation, you *do* want to set column 22 in tab31 to ‘N’ -- as you have done.
I have changed the KB 5830 paragraph to the following:
" When USER-SHARING = "Y" the: Z303-USER-LIBRARY, Z308-USER-LIBRARY, and Z353-USER-LIBRARY should be blank, and the $usr_library Z305 should have Z305-SUB-LIBRARY = ALEPH. Note: if the $usr_library is also the ADM library (in a single-ADM set-up), then having Z305-SUB-LIBRARY = ABC50 is also OK. "
