    Description:
Is there a possible error message that could be produced in the GUI and or OPAC that would alarm the librarian that a patron is close to being expired and it shortens the hold request?

    Here is my scenario:

Place a book on hold for a patron A today.

The following week the book has been returned, and the librarian sends out the letter for pickup for patron A.

The next day patron A comes in and since their patron A card has expired during the process, the hold expires the day after it goes on the shelf.

In this case there is no message letting them know that there will be a shortened period is that possible?

    Resolution:
There is no facility for doing this in the Aleph software....
