A cataloger searches in the xxx01 bib library, copies a BIB record, and edits fields to make the BIB their own. Then they create a holding record and an item record.
In yyy50, when adding a new item record and clicking "Add", a blank item record form appears. If one then clicks the HOL link and links to the holding record, and then clicks "Refresh", the information from the holding record fills in the form - particularly the call number.
In zzz50, this is not functioning. What controls this?
Please refer to the article " Call number fields: 050, 090, etc. " (KB 16384-17057). We see that the xxx60 tab100 has:
so the 852, with the call number, should be created.
Please check if the xxx01 has one of the fields (099, 098, 090, 092, 096, 050, 055, 060, 070, 082, 086) specified as a call number field in the article.
If not, that's the reason you don't see it.
