Description:
The Inventory Marking printout is corrupted.
The Inventory Marking operation (ALEPH v. 17.01, Cataloging -> Items -> Inventory Marking): the file name contains two dots (e. g. usm503..prn*), and this prevents making of regular actions, like printing or copying to the local directory using the Task Manager.

Resolution:
The catalog\print.ini file had a bad setup of

MarkingErrors 00 N P markingerrors.prn

The function name markingerrors.prn is longer than the 12 characters that column 5 allows.

It should be corrected to:

MarkingErrors 00 N P marking.prn

This solves the problem.
