    Description:
We are using 3M Self Checkout Machine on v16 from our production system. We are going to upgrade our production system from v16 to v18 next week. I want to know if there is anything we need to do for that system. Is the checkout machine will connect to v18 when the Aleph v18 start up? We are going to use same port number that currently v16 is using and IP.

    Resolution:
You will need to change the aleph_start to refer to the sip2_server rather than the sc_server.

And the $data_tab table is tab_sip2.conf rather than tab_sc_3m -- but the parameters are pretty much the same.

If there's any question, you can refer to the document "How to Set Up a SIP2 Server for Self-Check Systems.pdf" in the How To\ folder on the Doc Portal.
