    Description:
On our TEST server I have been doing some testing with the XYZ50 ADM using the recall service cir-13.
I am familiar on what XYZ50 tables needs to be done for this but I am wondering on the www_server_conf setting.

    The scenario is:

she would like to run the cir-13 (recall items on loan), but in her case she says that her patrons do holds on the WEB mainly. So in order for this report to flag holds automatically I had to change the setting in the /exlibris/aleph/u18_3/alephe www_server.conf to this:

    setenv www_z37_recall_type 01

    So...

I believe that this setting is only used when you choose to run the service, is that correct?

Meaning it should not have any impact on the other ADM's that do not use recalls, and their holds would not be effected.

    Resolution:
Setting "setenv www_z37_recall_type 01" means that the z37 requests which are created via the Web will have a z37_recall_type of 01 (-- which is a recall).

When the z37_recall_type is 01, p_cir_13 does two things:

    (1) based on tab16 values, it may make the due date earlier; and

    (2) it generates a recall notice to the patron who currently has the book.

But, if a particular xxx50 library does not run p_cir_13, then the setting of z37_recall_type 01 will have no effect -- it will function exactly the same as z37_recall_type 03 (hold).
