Description

Archive log mode is enabled but when the Ora_archive script runs for the backup_package 2.7.11 there is an error on completion. 

The email that is returned states this: 
RMAN Error During Validate Backup see /exlibris/backup/logs/ora_archive_v3_Detail_140720_0100.log 

The log has this: 
Recovery Manager complete.

Resolution

The step rman_valbsn checks the backup, i.e. the physical files that were just taken, and reads each physical file to check if it is valid.

The site reported this:  "We have these files on an NFS mount connected to external storage. We installed a 10g NIC on Thursday in the case that it was I/O or bandwidth related. This morning the ora_archive run completed."  [Later]  It looks like the error was bandwidth related. We are now getting successful completions of the oracle archive."
