    Question

How to expand item information into BIB record when exporting records?

    Answer

The best way to move item information into the bibliographic record is to use expand_doc_bib_z30. Please see the according description in the "Aleph System Librarian's Guide - Indexing".  With this expand program you are able to create a field Z30 for every item which holds the item information in different subfields. In addition you can decide by yourself which fields from the item record you want to expand. The output would look like this example:

    Z30-1 L $$lUSM01$$LUSM01$$mBOOK$$1WID$$AMain Library$$2GEN$$BGeneral$$hX 12345$$92. Sign.$$550209-10$$820161019$$f01$$FRegular loan

The expand program has to be added to xxx01/tab/tab_expand and the expand procedure (you may choose any name) has to be added to the print-03 service for parameter "Expand Routine".
