    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Description

FUSE (File System and User Space) is installed on our v23 server.  (It seems that this was done by the AIK.) This causes an issue with our Symantec Backupexec, which means we are not doing tape backups automatically.

    Resolution

The AIK does not install system or kernel modules -- and FUSE is not part of the Linux prerequisites for the AIK. It can be removed.
