Fine Receipt Error - XML/XSL Parser Error

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 17.01

    Description:
In the Circulation GUI the following was done when a fine was to be paid:
    1. Pay Sum was selected
    2. The screen to print receipt did not come up and the following error was received:

    "xmlxsl.err
Error on line 99 column 1 of file:/C:/AL500/alephcom/files/ABC50/PrintTemplates/eng/cash-pay-receipt-pay.xsl: Error reported by XML parser: Content is not allowed in trailing section. Transformation failed: Failed to parse stylesheet"

This feature worked well until mid-morning today when this error occurred.

    Resolution:
It appears that the XML file that you sent, cash-pay-receipt-pay.xml, is not in proper format. The problem is that there is an illegal comment at the bottom of the file. It looks like this: "! modified 20070129". This comment needs to be removed before the receipts will work.

I suspect that the reason this worked until today is that Aleph automatically uploaded and installed a new version of the file as edited on 20070129. This file may have just been distributed today.
