    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
We get the following error message when we click on Help --> About in any module:

"Failed to connect to host" [ or "Library's host not defined in library.ini"]

If we click "OK", we see the proper "GUI Version", but the "Server Version" is blank.

    Resolution:
The PCVER line in library.ini is directing the client to a particular server/port for gathering this Server Version information -- and for doing Version Check.

If you want this this Server Version information -- and want to be able to do Version Check --, you need to have a proper server/port specified on this line.
