    Description:
    [From ALEPH500-DISCUSS-L:]

We're wanting to track when HOL records are deleted and identify the BIB record to which the HOL was attached so that we can export the BIB record for use outside Aleph.

We've found that by building the z106 table in xxx60 (populated with the CAT field data) it is easy to track HOLs which have been added, changed or deleted. But when the HOL is deleted, the LKR to the BIB disappears, as does the linking record in z103, and we are completely unable to identify which BIB record the deleted HOL was attached to.

I am talking of deletion by using "Delete Record from Server" rather than using a STA field in the HOL.

Does anyone know a way of tracking deletions of HOLs that would allow us to identify the affected BIB record?

    Resolution:
    [From Jerry S:]

You could try setting CREATE-Z00H=Y in the tab100 of the xxx60 HOL library.

    ! Y = transfer a deleted BIB record to a history file
! This is for statistical purposes only, and does
! not imply that there is capability to restore.

These xxx60 Z00H records would have the LKR field which was in the HOL record before it was deleted.
