    Description:
Currently, we are using EZProxy with hard-coded IP addresses in the MARC data for links from our catalog to journals and such. We need to change those IPs, and we are wondering what the best way to do that is.

    Resolution:
    1. You would use the GUI search or p_ret_01 to create a set of record numbers to use as input to p_manage_21.

    2. In the "Line in Record" section of the p_manage_21 submission form you would put:

    Tag: 856

Then, in the "Changes" section, you would put:

    Replace this text: http://71.16.238.140:2048

With this text: http://71.16.xxx.yyy:zzzz (where "71.16.xxx.yyy:zzzz" is the new ip address).

    3. We suggest doing an initial run of p_manage_21 with an input file of just two or three records. If those seem OK, then you can run it on the complete file generated in step 1.
