Question
How Are The Z30-SHELF-REPORT-NUMBER, Z30_INVENTORY_NUMBER and Z30_INVENTORY_NUMBER_DATE Assigned In Aleph?
Answer
• The Z30-SHELF-REPORT-NUMBER is assigned by Inventory Definition (p_item_01), using the XXX50 Z52 last-shelf-rpt-num counter
• If there is no last-shelf-rpt-num parameter, then a Z30-SHELF-REPORT-NUMBER will not be assigned
• The Z30-INVENTORY-NUMBER is determined by values in the Z311 Oracle Table and the ALEPH table ./XXX50/tab/tab_z311
• tab_z311 defines the Z311 properties used by the system for the creation of Z311 counters for the z30-call-no, z30-call-no-2 and z30-inventory-number fields
• The Z30_INVENTORY_NUMBER_DATE is the date that the Z30_INVENTORY_NUMBER is assigned and *not* the date of a particular p_item_nn job run
• There are cases where a Z30_INVENTORY_NUMBER_DATE is assigned even though the Z30_INVENTORY_NUMBER is zero. The Z30_INVENTORY_NUMBER_DATE should be ignored in these cases
