    Description:
How can you access the ALEPH X-Service using a different user-name/password than the default WWW-X/WWW-X?

In the Aleph v16.02 X-Services documentation, it indicates: "If, when activating the x-service, no user name and password are given, the default for each of them will be: WWW-X" (p.170).

I could not find any documentation on how you can "activate" the x-service with a specific user-name and password, however. Whenever you put the "/X?op=xxx..." string into the URL, the user appears to be WWW-X regardless of what parameters I use after the "X?" portion of the URL.

We are trying to find ways of making the interactive and borrower-specific portions of the X-Service more secure, and we are hoping to make the WWW-X user not have access to X-Services Borrower and ILL functions, while allowing other defined ALEPH users access to these functions. However, we cannot find any way to specify in the URL the user for which we are using the X-Service.

    Resolution:
The www_x_util_get_param routine is looking for the parameters "USER_NAME=" and "USER_PASSWORD=".
