Question
How long is a set_number in X-serve find active/valid?
For instance: http://<server>/X?op=find&base=XXX&request=wbk=arb%20AND%20wbk=de*
which results in:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <find>
<set_number>261126</set_number>
<no_records>000001725</no_records>
<no_entries>000001725</no_entries>
<session-id>VUCFU5CA64DCQN6SE988LDHT7ARKMQID2RY3936YASRF2T3RBT</session-id>
</find>
Answer
The result sets for searches performed by X-Service or other Aleph functions (as GUI search or OPAC) are stored in tables z05 (set) and z110 (result-set table) in VIR01.
The result sets are valid as long these tables are not dropped.
The tables are dropped by clear_vir01, which we recommend to execute at least on a weekly basis.
So it depends on the frequency of your clear_vir01 how long a set number is active.
