    Description:
I would like to delete a record from my database and keep the fields records as history. How can I achieve this?

    Resolution:
In addition to "edit > delete > record from server" you can also delete a record by adding a file with code STA and subfield a "deleted". This will indicate that the record is "deleted" without deleting all the fields in the record. In spite of the fact that the indexable fields remain in the record, index entries for them are removed to prevent the display of these records from the Web OPAC and Search function. This way you still have the full record, but it is deleted. You can also then easily retrieve all deleted records in GUI via the WST (word from suppressed) field.

See section 9.3 of the cataloging chapter of the guide for more information.
