How to expand data of browse lists to Primo

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Desired Outcome Goal:
How can cata from browse lists (AUT, SUB etc.) be published to Primo?

    Procedure:
In order to publish Aleph information for browse lists to Primo new routine expand_doc_bib_subtype was implemented with rep_change 2112 in Aleph 21 and rep_change 3801 in Aleph 20. It retrieves a list of subject fields from the record (the list is provided as a parameter) and adds the subject type to subfield $2 of each field.

Description: The publishing of Aleph information for PRIMO purposes has been enriched. Primo v.4 includes browse lists ("A-Z lists") of authors, titles, subjects, and call numbers. This enhancement adds information to the authority record and to the AVA information published according to PRIMO requirements.

A new expand routine has been added - expand_doc_bib_subtype. It retrieves a list of subject fields from the record (the list is provided as a parameter) and adds the subject type to subfield $2 of each field.

In addition, the following routines have been enhanced:

expand_doc_bib_accref - A new parameter, ADDITIONAL-INFO, has been introduced. It adds authority information to the record.

expand_doc_bib_avail - Subfield $k, which includes the call number type, has been added.
