    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Description

We have many items that have Item Process Status values such as "MI", "MS", and "LO", indication missing, lost, etc. tab15.<lng> for the relevant ADM is configured to prevent these items from being requested. Specifically, column 8 is set to "N" for these items, indicating that the item cannot be requested. However, when an NCIP RequestItem message is received requesting one of these items, it is being place on Hold.

    Resolution

In addition to tab15.<lng>, the Aleph NCIP application checks the POST section of tab_hold_request to determine if an item can be placed on hold. The relevant routine is check_hold_request_a. The entire line should be:

    POST       check_hold_request_a

This line instructs the application to check the value of column 8 of the tab15.<lng> table.
