    Question

Is it possible to search for specific fields using SQL, e.d. edition field 250?

    Answer

Unfortunately it's not possible to search for the edition field with SQL as the field is contained in the Z00 record with all other fields from the BIB record.

However you can extract the edition statement using "Retrieve catalog records (p_ret_01,)" e.g. searching for records where field 250 is available or also search for a specific content of field 250. The output file will show system numbers.
