Loading file output by p_print_03 (with fix_doc_001_sysno) back into ALEPH

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 17.01

    Description:
We have created a file to send to Marcive using p_print_03, but before we send it off we would like to take our sample of 36 records and reload it into TEST to be sure that we can reload.

We have converted our test file into an ALEPH sequential file where the 001 field contains the 26-character system number (for example, TTU01000000000000000060001). Right now the 001 field is the only unique tag to match on an existing record.

What is the best choice for a load routine to load this data back into ALEPH (first match on the 001 and then load it)? We have looked at p-manage-36 and p-file-99, but both of these require being able to specify an index which indexes the 001 field, and we do not see how to do this. Can you make a suggestion?

    Resolution:
After running p_file_01 and p_file_02 (to create the ALEPH sequential file), you would run p_manage_18 (specifying fix_doc_001_sysno_inv as the fix routine).
